Chad Ingraham, raised in Canada’s picturesque east coast, joined us in August 2009.
Chad studied photography in Fredericton, at the New Brunswick College of Craft and Design. After the completion of his studies, he traveled to China in early 2005 drawn by the mysteries of life behind the Great Wall.
For the past three years, Chad has been based in Shanghai, covering stories for leading editorial clients such as the Wall Street Journal, as well as commercial work for international clients such as Adidas, Randstad, Bosch (Agency: JWT), Schwarzkopf, Blum (Agency: Montfort), etc.
While he is considered a well rounded photographer shooting everything from food to fashion, the majority of his work focuses on people. He is known for his use of strong environmental elements and his ability to create an intimate connection between the viewer and the subject.
DW-World journalist Sandra Petersmann spent 10 days in Shanghai getting to know our GM Lorenz to produce an in-depth profile of him. In total, a 45min radio clip was produced in which you can hear Sandra and Lorenz talking about the good and bad sides of living and working in a city like Shanghai. The clips (in German) were broadcasted nationwide via several radio stations such as WDR, 1Live, Bayern3 or SWR3.
Listen to the 45 minute radio clip (in German) here or read the articles as PDFs (in Germany only):
We just helped a RAP, a new children fashion start-up company in Shanghai which produces all kinds of ‘ stuff to wrap your kids in’, to get a complete new corporate design.
Our graphic designer (in Shanghai) created a new logo, defined new corporate colors, chose a new house font, designed a flyer and their new website.
See below some of the finished work, of which we are pretty proud of.
